Case Study: Humanoids

Establishing a comic book publisher
in the US.

The Problem

Humanoids is a comic book publisher that began in France in the early 1970s before opening a US office in 1998.

As Humanoids prepared to celebrate its 50th anniversary year, they needed help distinguishing their US office from its French parent, launching an English language version of their renowned Metal Hurlant magazine, and driving interest in their new English language originals.

The upcoming movie adaption of The Incal, directed by Taika Waititi, promised to bring a host of new potential customers to the Humanoids catalog, and represented a great opportunity for social media growth.

The solution

Daxia undertook a comprehensive organic social media content program, posting daily across Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter/X.

We created strategies for the Kickstarter launch of Metal Hurlant and the 50th anniversary celebration.

We created graphics and videos highlighting new and existing titles, and handled daily engagement with fans.

The RESULT

During our engagement, the cross-platform social media audience grew by 107%, with a 147% increase in impressions. The incoming message volume from fans increased by 60%, with a huge jump (1,751%) on Twitter/X.

Scope of work.

  • Organic social media
  • Asset development
  • Community management

Working with Daxia has been a great experience from start to finish. The team is creative, adaptable, and responsive to our company’s needs. Thanks to their collaborative process, expertise, and attention to our brand, our digital presence has made a strong impression on our audience and new followers as we expanded into new markets.
